悉德•霍夫（1912年9月4日- 2004年5月12日）是一位犹太裔漫画家，童书作者。因其经典系列作品“丹尼和恐龙”，他被读者亲切地称呼为“恐龙爷爷”。霍夫还在读高中时就展露出绘画天赋。18岁时，他将自己的卡通漫画卖给了鼎鼎有名的“纽约客”，成为其中被人追捧的漫画作家。

Syd Hoffhas given much pleasure to children everywhere as the author and illustrator of numerous children’s books, including the favorite I Can Read books Sammy the Seal, The Horse in Harry’s Room, and the Danny and the Dinosaur books. Born and raised in New York City, he studied at the National Academy of Design. His cartoons were a regular feature in the New Yorker after he sold his first cartoon to that magazine at the age of eighteen. His work also appeared in many other magazines, including Esquire and the Saturday Evening Post, and in a nationally syndicated daily feature.
