這套特別郵票以四類可以在香港水域見到的新舊漁港為主題。

This set of special stamps features four different types of old and new fishing vessels seen in the waters around Hong Kong.

五角

舢板頭：舢板頭是一種傳統中國式舢板，在香港水域近岸一帶作業已有數十年的歷史，主要利用魚絲捕魚。這些舢板頭，很多都已經機動化，同時亦應用於海魚養殖業。

50c Hand Liner: The Hand Liner is a sampan of traditional Chinese design which has been plying the inshore waters of Hong Kong for many decades, mainly using hand lines for fishing. Many of these sampans have been mechanized and they also serve the mariculture industry.

一元三角

單拖：漁農處於一九六五年首創這種新式船身，用船尾拖網的拖網船。在技術不斷改良下，此種單拖的捕魚功能已大大提高，而其機動性能也較大，航行範圍可遠至香港以外700公里。

$1.30 Stern Trawler:The modern hull design of the trawler was first introduced by the Agriculture and Fisheries Department in 1965, along with the concept of stern trawling. Further technological improvements have since enhanced the fishing performance of this vessel giving it greater mobility and an operational range of up to a distance of 700km from Hong Kong.

雙桅仔：雙桅仔是一種傳統的中國式帆船，所用的捕魚工具是一條很長的主絲，而絲上則附有很多組魚鈎。近年來，此類漁船很多都採用了新穎的設計；這些新穎漁船擁有寬敞的艙面、完善的航海裝備，以及先進的導航設施。

$1.70 Long Liner: The long-liner is a junk of traditional Chinese design. The fishing gear is composed of a main line of considerable length with numerous sets of hooks. An increasing number of these vessels are being replaced by a type of more modern design, having a spacious deck, better all round seaworthiness and equipped with sophisticated navaids.

廣海拖：廣海拖是一種中國式船隻，主要的特色是船頭低而船尾高。捕魚時，由兩艘拖船拖一個網工作，並可以在中國以南的深海處作業。由於香港漁船日趨現代化，今日只有少數漁民仍然利用這種機動漁拖捕魚。

$5.00 Junk Trawler: The Junk Trawler is of traditional Chinese design primarily characterized by the low bow and high stern. Each trawl-net is operated by a pair of boats which can fish in the deeper waters off southern China. With the increasing modernization of the Hong Kong fishing nets, only a small number of these mechanized trawlers now remain in service.
