由北向南呈狭长条状分布的罗纳河谷绵延250公里，以蒙特利马尔（Montelimar）为界，被天然的分为南、北两个部分。北部降雨量高，葡萄藤均生长在陡峭的花岗岩梯田上，充足的阳光对主要葡萄品种西拉的成熟很重要。罗第丘（Cote-Rotie），艾米塔基（Hermitage）和贡德约（Condrieu）等声名在外的产区坐落在北罗纳河谷。

南罗纳河谷地势平坦，面积很大，通常产区越大，葡萄酒的风格越迥异。歌海娜是这里的主角，Côtes du Rhône是这里最大的产区，需要混合至少40%的歌海娜。高级一些的葡萄酒被标注为Côtes du Rhône Villages，更优秀的产区集中在教皇新堡附近，可以被冠上自己村庄的名字，诸如吉恭达斯（Gigondas）和教皇新堡（Châteauneuf-du-pape）。

The narrow Rhone varieties stretches 250 kilometers from north to south, surrounded by Montelimar and naturally divided into a northern and a southern part. In the north rainfall is abundant and the vines are grown on steep granite terraces. With adequate sunlight, the main grape variety Syrah thrives here. Reputable production areas such as Cote-Rotie, Hermitage and Condrieu are located in the North Rhone varieties.

The South Rhone varieties is flat and wide. Generally, the larger a wine-growing area, the greater the differences in wine styles. Grenache is the main grape here and Côtes du Rhône the largest production area, which requires blends that contain at least 40% Grenache. Fine wines here are labeled Côtes du Rhône Villages, while the truly excellent production areas, concentrated near the papal castle, are often named after their own villages, such as Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

An exclusive wine tasting in our Pudao Wines store on September 20 will introduce five regional village-level wines as well as five wines from renowned wine-producing areas in the very north, stretching from Cote-Rotie all the way up to Hermitage in the North Rhone varieties. On top of that we’ll serve four wines from the South Rhone varieties, from Gigondas to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. We are proud to present several highly sought-after single or blended Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier white grape varieties. You will find them delightful.
