葡萄酒由颗颗葡萄，到装瓶上市，繁复的酿造工艺和繁重的体力劳动，让葡萄酒酿造产业看起来像在为男性量身定制一般。但如今，男性与女性从业者在葡萄酒行业的边界线也来越模糊，其中不乏一些杰出的女性执业者，以坚韧打破性别壁垒，用坚强温柔酿造葡萄酒，为葡萄酒行业增添浓墨重彩的一笔。

It is a laborious process from grape to glass. Because of the complexity of wine making and the heavy workload, the winemaking industry has long been dominated by men. However, the gender boundary has become blurred with a number of brilliant female winemakers joining the profession. These strong-willed, tenacious and gentle women have broken through the gender barriers and instilled their distinctive character traits into the winemaking process, making the winemaking industry all the more diverse.  

On March 27, 2021, Pudao Wines will hold two women in wines tasting parties simultaneously in Shanghai and Guangzhou. Visitors will enjoy 14 wine varieties from eight estates. A number of big names are on the list: Meyer Naekel from the Ahr valley, Germany, a premium winery run by the Näkel sisters - Meike and Dörte; Italian Sandrone – one of the most sought-after brands among the collectors - with the founder’s daughter Barbara Sandrone at the helm of the establishment; Domaine Bernard Defaix from Chablis, France, which is owned by Hélène Defaix, an activist in sustainable development; Mas Martinet in Priorat, Spain, an innovative winery run by Sara Perez, daughter of the founder Josep Luis Perez, who wishes to tell the world through the wines she makes that women deserve the same rights as men in the winemaking industry; the respectable ingenious winemaker Helen Masters, New Zealand Winemaker of the Year 2019; Kendall-Jackson’s Chairman and Proprietor Barbara R. Banke who has spent the last two decades leading the family business; and Clare, the owner of Moss Wood, a premium wine producer located in the Margaret River wine region of Australia, who loves challenges and has a number of masterpieces to her credit. 

The tasting parties will take place in the newly furnished flagship store in FERGUSON LANE, Shanghai, and the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Guangzhou. Pudao Wines is looking forward to sharing with you superb wines, interesting stories and a pleasant weekend in this beautiful season.
