Plywood is an extraordinarily versatile material, made by gluing together layers of wood veneer, each with its grain at right angles to the next. It can be made more flexible and stronger than solid wood, and has huge potential for experimental design, as well as practical uses in everything from aircraft, boats, and automobiles to architecture and furniture.
