劳动与社会保障专业是公共管理学下设主要的二级学科之一，在老龄化背景下，社会保障专业建设及其人才培养与社会保障体制建设和社会大民生发展息息相关。在全球化大背景下，大学专业建设与人才培养应与国际化接轨，专业建设与课程设计更应培养学生用英语进行专业阅读、交流与学习的能力。但是在专业英语课程上，全国该专业都苦于没有教材，各校均使用自制讲义进行课程讲授。但是讲义相对不成熟不规范，为了劳动与社会保障专业的学生可以使用到系统化的社会保障英语教材，因此编写该教材。本教材将是全国劳动与社会保障专业第一本英语教材，本教材的特色就在于用坚持从经济学视角来帮助学生理解劳动与社会保障的几大模块，创新之处在于每个模块的设问都尽量从各利益主体行为出发，讲授各社会制度的应有之义与未来发展方向。  

    管理学博士，武汉科技大学文法与经济学院讲师，硕士研究生导师，研究方向为社会保障、养老服务和长期护理保险。主持国家社会科学基金青年项目1项、参与国家社会科学基金项目2项，出版专著1本，参编教材2本，在《中国人口科学》、《社会保障研究》等核心期刊发表论文多篇。曾获湖北发展研究一等奖一次（政府奖），民政部政策理论研究一等奖一次（政府奖）。
