Characteristics:This exquisite white Rioja is made primarily from Viura – also known as Macabeo – and is often blended with smaller percentages of Malvasia and Garnacha Blanca grapes. The wine undergoes a long aging process, typically spending around six years in oak barrels, which is much longer than most white Riojas. The Viña Tondonia Blanco Reserva is known for its golden colour and oxidative style. On the nose, it displays aromas of dried fruits, beeswax, honey, and nuts. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with flavours of ripe fruit, toasted almonds, and well-integrated oak, all balanced by a refreshing acidity.
