The family estate in the Southern Weinviertel region belongs to one of the most well recognised names in the Austrian wine business, the Pfaffl family. Roman Pfaffl has stood at the helm of his family’s acclaimed Austrian wine estate for over 30 years.

In just under 20 years Roman Pfaffl ambitiously grew a little farm with less than 2 acres of vines into a nearly 50 acre wine estate. Grüner Veltliner is the most beloved grape variety of the Pfaffl family. They produce wines from it in a range of styles, from fresh and fruity to opulent and complex, but they never lose the peppery spice quality typically associated with Grüner Veltliner. Meanwhile the Pfaffls have been ambassadors for other high quality grape varieties including Riesling, Chardonnay, Zweigelt, and St. Laurent.

Today, the family cultivates 110 hectares of vineyards spreading over 11 municipalities in the Weinviertel region and the capital, Vienna. The scattered vineyards bring along the very different soils and microclimates, and therefore can offer a number of different grape varieties and wine types.

Pfaffl酒庄不管在国内还是国外都享誉盛名，并出口到20多个国家。现在新一代已经接管了酒庄，但始终牢记传承下来的经营理念：“品质就是一切”。

The Pfaffl wines are very well known and appreciated both nationally and internationally, being exported to more than 20 countries. Step by step the new generation is taking over the reins, but always keeping the family philosophy in mind: “The quality grows in the vineyard”.
