Each chapter ends with a group of problems. Originally published in 1949. Solomon Lefschetz (September 3, 1884 -- October 5, 1972) was an American mathematician.He did pioneering work on algebraic topology and applied this theory to the study of algebraic geometry and nonlinear ordinary differential equations.
