内容简介：

本书为2024年湖北省公益学术著作出版专项资金资助项目，列入“发现中国系列”。本书为面向来华留学生和广大海外读者打造的中英双语著作，英文版将通过施普林格面向全球发行。

本书包括十四章，在介绍中国经济发展历史基础和自然条件的基础上，分1949年以前、1949—1978年、1978年以后、新时期等阶段介绍了中国经济发展历程；然后分专题论述了中国的对外开放和国际贸易、农村改革和农业现代化、中国特色的国有企业制度改革、工业化进程与城市发展、宏观经济政策和财税体制、现代金融体系的改革和建立等；最后介绍了中国特色的经济发展模式、新时代的发展理念与发展格局。本书阐述了中国经济增长的政策背景和内在逻辑，反映了中国经济改革的成就和经验，向世界讲述了中国创造经济奇迹的故事，逻辑清晰、简明扼要、通俗易懂。

作者介绍：

欧阳红兵，教授、博士生导师。现任华中科技大学经济学院副院长，曾任韩国西江大学客座教授、香港城市大学高级研究员，兼任湖北省金融统计学会理事。主要研究方向为金融经济学、金融计量学、公司金融、资产定价、金融监管等，主持和参与国家自然科学基金项目、国家社会科学基金项目共5项，出版专著3部，在国内外期刊发表学术论文10余篇。
