水飞蓟也称奶蓟,是一种对肝脏健康有益的植物。水飞蓟中所含的水飞蓟素通过多种机制支持肝脏,包括抑制脂质过氧化[1],支持肝脏葡萄糖醛酸化代谢途径[2],防止谷胱甘肽耗竭[3]以及增加肝细胞蛋白质合成[4]。
洋蓟叶提取物是一种对肝脏健康有益的营养成分[5]。在一项针对20名受试者的双盲交叉研究中,朝鲜蓟提取物被证明可以增加胆汁的分泌[6]。动物研究表明,洋蓟保护肝细胞免受氧化应激,并防止谷胱甘肽的损失[7-9]。
姜黄素被证明可以增加谷胱甘肽S-转移酶、超氧化物酶歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化氢酶和谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶。[10]
大蒜是一种众所周知的香料,具有许多促进健康的特性。在一项动物研究中,研究了大蒜在接触有毒重金属砷后对肝细胞的影响。砷给药导致自由基的产生,特别是活性氧(ROS),从而导致细胞损伤。施用大蒜提取物后,肝组织中ROS的产生恢复到正常值。[11]
