美国越南裔文学作品选(美国亚裔文学研究丛书)
“美国亚裔文学研究丛书”是国内第一套最为完整的“美国亚裔文学”方面的系列丛书,由文学史、文学作品选、文学评论集、学术论著等组成。
《美国越南裔文学作品选》精选了21位美国越南裔作家的作品,试图描绘美国越南裔文学百年间发展与演变的画卷。作品选分为作者简介和作品选读两部分,选读部分一般选择的是每位作家比较重要的作品节选,涉及了多种体裁,如小说、诗歌、戏剧、传记等几大类别;作者简介主要包括作家的个人基本信息、创作经历、获奖情况、主要作品以及作品主要点评。我们希望帮助读者尽快了解作家及所选作品的中心思想与主要内容。
郭英剑,中国人民大学“杰出学者”特聘教授,外国语学院教授(二级)、博士生导师。现任中国人民大学首都发展与战略研究院副院长。从2001到2020年,历任郑州大学外语学院副院长、常务副院长、中央民族大学外国语学院院长、中国人民大学外国语学院院长。主要从事英美文学、文学翻译、英语教育与高等教育研究。
国务院第八届外语学科评议组成员、教育部高校英语专业教学指导分委员会委员、享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家、国家首批“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选、全国模范教师。国家社科重大规划项目首席专家。

所谓“美国越南裔文学”,是指具有越南血统的美国人用英语创作的文学作品。这里的美国越南裔作家主要由美国越南裔第一代、1.5 代(年幼的越南难民)作家,以及在美国出生的越南裔第二代作家组成。三代作家有不同的成长背景、文化诉求和身份认同,这些因素促成了美国越南裔文学主题、体裁与风格的多元化。
“美国越南裔文学”无疑是“美国亚裔文学”版图中不可或缺的一部分,它在短时间内取得了引人注目的成绩,成为美国少数族裔文学中的佼佼者。与华裔文学和日裔文学等美国亚裔文学相比,“美国越南裔文学”发展起步较晚、历史较短,文学作品相对较少,但随着 1.5 代越南裔和第二代越南裔作家的崛起,越南裔文学发展迅猛,影响力逐渐扩大,逐步得到美国与其他国家学者的追捧研究。
通过“美国越南裔文学”,人们可以观察美国与越南的战争历史和现实处境,同时作为观照,促使我们反思亚裔的发展历史和进行自我文化探索。20 世纪 60 年代,越南的殖民历史启发了越南裔对战争和历史的思考,为美
国越南裔文学的发展奠定了基础。陈文颖的《船上无乘客》(1965)是其中的杰出代表。随着 1975 年越南战争的结束,大批越南难民涌入美国,在黎莉 · 海思利浦和梅 · 艾略特等第一代作家的努力下,美国越南裔文学开始发轫。
从 20 世纪 90 年代开始,随着越南裔 1.5 代作家的成长,越南裔文学开始崭露头角,文学作品产出迅猛,阮清越、莫妮卡 · 张与赖清荷等越南裔作家荣获普利策奖、美国国家图书奖与代顿文学奖等重要奖项,让越南裔文学阔步进入新的发展纪元。
