In 1987, the Fondation Cartier organized a major exhibition honoring one of the 20th century's greatest designers, Enzo Ferrari. The first show devoted to the carmaker since its creation in 1947, Hommage à Ferrari was a once-in-a-generation and totally unique showcase of the storied automobile. Thinking outside the box, director Marie-Claude Beaud and designer Andrée Putman created a legendary exhibition including car-size parachutes attached to the vehicles.
