The Petra Winery is located in Maremma, Tuscany, next to the beautiful medieval village of Suvereto, and is the sister winery of Bellavista, the famous sparkling wine producer in northern Italy.

In 1808, Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, Napoleon's sister, Princess of Lucca and Piombino and grand duchess of Tuscany, chose this place to establish the first seed of an agricultural and vinicultural project.

In 1997 Vittorio Moretti purchased 60 hectares in San Lorenzo and 45 in Campiglia Marittima, both located in the Suvereto region, starting his journey in Tuscany.

The winery was designed by the famous architect Mario Botta, which highlights the landscape's measure, beauty, and depth. Marittima hired Professor Edoardo Costantini of the University of Florence as the consultant , Dr. Ruggero Mazzilli involved in vineyard management, and Giuseppe Caviola as winemaker to ensure that the characteristics of its terroir were brought out.

The winery operates meticulously from the vineyard to the cellar, with organic farming, gravity drainage to transfer the wine, and full use of natural light and floating solar power to minimize the environmental impact of the winery and other activities.
