德化窑位于福建省泉州市德化县，被世界手工艺协会评为世界瓷都，地处戴云山区，境内拥有最优质的高岭土。纯度高杂质含量少。这有人就会问了，那瓷都景德镇的高岭土如何？事实上，景德镇烧制青花瓷较多，青花的装饰对瓷土白度与纯度要求不高，所以景德镇产品的质地有的泛青有的泛黄，皆因较高的杂质含量影响。而德化地区有烧制白瓷最理想的配方比例，且自古有低杂质含量的优质高岭土，得天独厚的优势与制瓷工艺让法国人称德化瓷为中国白，才有“世界白瓷看中国，中国白瓷看德化”俗语，德化白瓷乃是中国之于世界的一份礼物！

Dehua kiln of Quanzhou city, Fujian province — proclaimed the World Porcelain Capital by the World Handcraft Association — is blessed with the highest quality kaolin material characterized by its low impurity content. Some might ask, what about the kaolin of Jingdezhen? In fact, Jingdezhen's relative emphasis on blue-and-white underglaze techniques allows for use of higher impurity clay, which fires to cool blue or warmer yellow hues. Dehua's low impurity kaolin's ideal formulation for firing pure white porcelain has been recognized since ancient times. This unique advantage combined with Dehua porcelain process led the French to call Dehua porcelain "China White," or blanc de Chine. As the saying goes, "For porcelain, look to China. For Chinese porcelain, look to Dehua." Dehua porcelain is China's gift to the world.

19世纪，法国波尔在所著的《中国美术》中说道

“中国白，乃中国瓷器之上品也。”德化白瓷兴于唐宋盛于元明，薄如纸声如磬，洁白如玉，温润如脂。明万历年间的《泉州府志》有云 “又有白瓷器，出德化程寺后山中，洁白可爱。”

德化白瓷传到法国后，号称要浪漫可以不吃饭的当地人瞬间被惊到了。天哪 原来世界上还有这么超凡脱俗的瓷器！它们给它取了一个新名字：BLANC DE CHINE 中国白。

According to the 19th century text Chinese Art, "'Blanc de Chine' is the top grade of Chinese porcelain." Dehua white porcelain flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties and also through the Yuan and Ming dynasties. It was as thin as paper and sounded like chime, white as jade, warm and moist as fat. Quanzhou Fuzhi in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty states, "there are also white porcelain, white and lovely, in the mountains behind the Dehuacheng Temple."

Europeans were astonished upon the introduction of Dehua white porcelain to France, ('My god! What otherworldly porcelain exists in this world!') and they gave it a new name: BLANC DE CHINE.

13世纪的威尼斯 当年很大一部分德化白瓷是通过威尼斯水路运到欧洲的，欧洲人仔细一看，觉得造是造不出来了，那就只能疯狂得购买！他们到底买了多少呢？比如1998年东南亚出水的黑石号唐代沉船，60000多件文物中就有3000多件白瓷。

The waterways of 13th century Venice served as an important gateway for the spread Dehua white porcelain in Europe. The failure to locally produce similar wares resulted in high demand for blanc de Chine. How much was imported? As an example, more than 3,000 pieces of white porcelain and 60,000 cultural relics were recovered from a single Tang Dynasty era shipwreck in Southeast Asia in 1998.

现如今，海外许多大型博物馆和著名藏家手里都有大量的“中国白”。比如，大英博物馆从1753年建馆起就开始收藏德化白瓷，至今藏品达2000件之多。

Fast forward to now, many large overseas museums and famous collectors have amassed a large collection of blanc de Chine. The British Museum has been acquiring Dehua white porcelain since its establishment in 1753, with 2,000 pieces collected so far.

此次展览将会带来以茶道具和酒具为主的德化白瓷器物，六款壶被V&A博物馆收藏，由一隅陶瓷工作室制作出品。

This exhibition will present a collection of modern Dehua white porcelain tea and wine wares. Six of the pots in this exhibition, designed and produced by Yiyu Ceramic Studio of Dehua, have been collected by the Victoria & Albert Museum of UK.

These teapots are handmade with kaolin clay from Dehua. The bodies of these teapots are extremely fine and their weight distribution is perfectly balanced — some examples can stand upside down on their trumpet-shaped handles. Historically, Dehua kilns produced white porcelain vessels and figures much admired by Europeans. These teapots illustrate the playful design sensibilities of a new generation of Dehua potters.

六款壶被英国V&A博物馆永久收藏，不常器生活器采用德化优质瓷土，纯手工拉坯制作经过1330°C高温烧制而成。

Yiyu Ceramics Studio was established in 2014, with "Buchangqi" as the studio's main brand.

From consideration of practicality, shape, and scale, to the realization of "a vessel without a story."

Six of Yiyu Ceramics teapots are in the permanent collection of the British V&A Museum. "Buchangqi" wares are made of high-quality Dehua porcelain clay, and hand-drawn and fired at 1330 degrees Celsius.

V&A博物馆，全称维多利亚与艾尔伯特博物馆（Victoria and Albert Museum） ，这一名字来源于英国的维多利亚女王与她的丈夫艾尔伯特亲王。

始建于1852年, 是世界上最大的艺术、设计和表演博物馆。约有230万件藏品，跨越人类文明五千年。

The Victoria and Albert Museum derives its name from Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and her husband Prince Albert. Founded in 1852, it is the largest art/design/performance museum in the world, with approximately 2.3 million pieces in the collection spanning five thousand years of human civilization.
