Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru is the northernmost Grand Cru in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, spanning 9 hectares of low-fertility soil with vines over 80 years old. The name "Mazis" means "country cottage"; historically, a small hamlet was said to exist on this vineyard plot.
This wine is characterized by its distinct virility. It requires several years of aging to reveal its unique personality, at which point it will gradually unfold complex notes of spices, licorice, leather, and fur. You will be impressed by its infinitely long finish.

Characteristics:
Strategically located just below Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru and adjacent to Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru, the Mazis-Chambertin terroir produces an extremely powerful, rich, opulent, and complex wine, whose structure guarantees excellent longevity. After long-term aging, Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru distinguishes itself with complex aromas of spices, leather, and red fruits.
