弗里德里希·荷尔德林（德语：Johann Friedrich Hölderlin，1770—1843），德国著名诗人。古典浪漫派诗歌的先驱，曾被世界遗忘了将近一个世纪。图宾根大学神学院毕业。当过家庭教师，爱上了雇主的妻子。小说《希波琳》（1797～1799）是以他为模特儿创作的。1798年后，因情场失意，身心交瘁，处于精神分裂状态，1802年徒步回到故乡。1804年在霍姆堡当图书管理员。1807年起精神完全错乱，生活不能自理。作品有诗歌《自由颂歌》《人类颂歌》《致德国人》《为祖国而死》等。

Johann Friedrich Holderlin (1770-1843) was a German poet. The forerunner of classical romantic poetry had been forgotten by the world for nearly a century. Graduated from the University of Tubingen Seminary. Worked as a governess, fell in love with his employer's wife. The novel Hippoline (1797-1799) was written by him as a model. After 1798, due to disappointment in love, physical and mental exhaustion, in a state of schizophrenia, in 1802 on foot back to his hometown. He became a librarian in Homburg in 1804. In 1807, he became completely insane and could not take care of himself. His works include the poems "Ode to Freedom", "Ode to Humanity", "To the Germans" and "Dying for the Motherland".

Johann Friedrich Holderlin (1770-1843) was a German poet who was born on March 20, 1770 in Laufen an der Neckar. His father, a prefect of the local convent, died three years after his birth, and his mother, the daughter of a priest, remarried in 1774. Holderlin studied at the monastery school in Denkendorf and then Maulbronn. In 1788, he entered the Seminary of the University of Tubingen, where he read the works of Plato, Sophocles, William Shakespeare, etc., studied the philosophical thoughts of Rousseau, Spinoza, Leibniz, Kant, etc., and became friends with Schelling and Hegel. His favorite writer is Rousseau. Inspired by the French Revolution of 1789, he and his classmates organized a poetry society to write poems in praise of human rights.
