Characteristics: Situated between two dry creek beds, the HVD (Hunter Valley Distillery)vineyard has ideal soils for Semillon; free draining sandy soils overcoarse river sand. The vines are drygrown and were planted in 1908.HVD Semillon shows a lifted, generous floral aromatic unlike our otherSemillons. The palate is full and soft, typical of the vineyard with a fineboned acidity giving the wine added element of interest.
