Suze 苏士利口酒（配制酒）

Clear, bright golden yellow with burnished gold highlights. Fat moderately fast falling tears. Unusually fresh, verdant, and floral with dusty turmeric, juniper, dried powdered orange zest with menthol pine and eucalyptus. It’s surprisingly soft, gently dilute, subtly sweet and floral with hints of liquorice roots and restrained bitterness.

Suze was created in 1885 and launched by its creator Fernand MOUREAUX in 1889 at the World's Fair and was awarded the prestigious gold medal. Gentian roots are macerated in alcohol for several years and this maceration is then double-distilled and blended with herbs and other botanicals that have also been macerated.

This distinctive amber-colored bottle was introduced in 1896, when Henri PORTE joined forces with Fernand MOUREAUX. In autumn 1912, a bottle of Suze was the inspiration for Pablo PICASSO’s cubist “Verre et bouteille de Suze”.
