In the era of global climate change and consequently the reducing moisture availability, the knowledge of bare soil evaporation is of paramount importance for planning and executing agricultural operations for growing crops. A quantitative assessment of bare soil evaporation from the agricultural lands will help the planners to design appropriate strategies for land preparation, sowing and growing crops with less or limited water supply situations.
