History of the Winery

Located in the Rías Baixas region known as "Green Spain", Attis was founded by the Farifia family in 2000. Thanks to the dedication and efforts of the brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Farifia together with their father, the tradition of winemaking spirit (Authentic, Artisanal, Atlantic) has been passed down the generations of the family.

Terroir & Philosophy

Attis is located in the heart of Val do Salnés, which is also one of the most important D.O. (Designation of origin) sub-appellations of the Rias Baixas. The Attis has 12.3 acres of vineyards, planted with mostly local varietals Albariño, with vines up to 40 years old.

The area is crisscrossed by rivers and influenced by the maritime Atlantic climate, with a mild climate, abundant rainfall and windy weather throughout the year. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 328 feet above sea level, and the soil types are mainly granite land and sandy-clay.

It is also the coldest and wettest part of the Val do Salnés appellation. To prevent the grapes from being exposed to diseases caused by high humidity, a unique trellises structure is chosen for vines planting.

In order to enhance quality, in 2011 Attis inaugurated a new, modernized winery facility for technical support and ecological cultivation in the vineyards. These initiatives came into fruition with the 2012 vintage, encompassing all aspects of winemaking, spontaneous fermentation, aging on lees, and a reduction in sulfur usage.

为了提高葡萄酒质量，Attis还2011年更新和现代化酿造设备，开始在葡萄园进行生态种植，涵盖了酿酒、自然发酵、酒泥陈年和减少硫化物等诸多方面，并在2012年就已取得卓越的成果。

From Grapes to Wines

All grapes are hand-harvested and completely destemmed. The white wines are pressed, fermented naturally at low temperatures, aged on the lees and with ‘batonnage’, before aging in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels, depending on the style.

所有的葡萄都经过手工采摘，并完全除梗。白葡萄酒会在压榨后，在低温下自然发酵，与酒泥陈年并经过搅桶后，根据风格不同在不锈钢罐或橡木桶中进行陈年。

Attis is most known for its Mar White Wine. After bottling, the wine is aged for 6 months at 12 meters under sea, helping it to acquire a unique flavor and aging potential.

最具特色的是阿提斯海酿干白葡萄酒，葡萄酒在装瓶后，会在12米深的海底陈年6个月，帮助酒款获得独特的风味和陈年潜力。

The red wines are crushed, spontaneous fermented naturally and macerated for 15 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels to age for 12 months. The Attis Xion Red is bottled with a unique filtration process using seawater and egg whites.

红葡萄酒在经过破碎之后会采用自然发酵并经过15天的浸渍。苹乳发酵结束后，酒液会被转移至法国橡木桶中陈酿12个月。阿提斯锡安干红葡萄酒在装瓶时还会采用海水和鸡蛋清的独特方式进行过滤。
