Language Arts系列属于Harcourt Family Learning系列练习册。Language Arts系列专攻语法，解决让孩子们头疼的语法难题，以练习的形式帮助孩子巩固整个小学阶段必须掌握的语法知识，这个系列有6个级别，对应的是国外1年级-6年级的孩子，国内则更适合6-14岁的孩子使用！ 

而每个等级又按照下面这个6个单元来安排内容：

Reading Skills系列属于Harcourt Family Learning系列练习册。Reading Skills系列攻克英语中的难点——阅读！而且这个系列不仅是让孩子通过练习提升阅读水平，更是在提升孩子阅读技巧。这个系列有6个级别，对应的是国外1年级-6年级的孩子，国内则更适合6-14岁的孩子使用！每本书6个单元，Grade 1内容很简单，属于启蒙级，是给孩子打好阅读基础的。

Grade 1的五个主题分别是：

Drawing Conclusions(得出结论）

Facts and inferences （事实和推论）

Main Idea（中心思想）

Making Judgements（做出判断）

Nothing Details（没有细节）

这五个主题分别溶于每个单元中，它会以练习的方式教孩子如何在阅读过程中找出事实，进行推论，做出判断，得出结论，找出文章的中心思想等阅读技巧。让孩子通过各种不同的练习，来掌握阅读技巧。
