The recipe for Chartreuse Liqueurs was originally given to the Carthusian Monks in 1605. This date marks the very  beginning of the Chartreuse tale. Chartreuse liqueur is considered today as one of the oldest liqueurs in the world.

On May 16th 2012, the first Chartreuse Day was launched in Italy. Since then, this day has been celebrated throughout the world on May 16th (16.05). In 2016, more than 300 bars took part in more than 17 countries.

查特酒也许可以被看作世界上最古老也是唯一具有收藏价值的利口酒，其充满神秘感的调制配方诞生于1605年的天主教僧侣之手，所以5.16正蕴含了这个特殊的意义。

这项庆祝活动从2012年于意大利开始举办至今，已跨越全球17个国家的300多家顶级酒吧。

V.E.P. (vieillissement exceptionnellement) introduced in 1963

为了铭记特殊的纪念日，僧侣们开始生产“特酿（cuvées spéciales）”。这些特酿会在木桶里陈酿10 年。第一批特酿产于1963年。

In 2007, the "Best Craftsmen of France – Sommeliers" contacted the Chartreuse monks in order to create a "masterpiece".

2007年，“法国最佳工匠”奖项获得者与查特僧侣们共同创造了MOF特酿查特酒，可谓是大师之作。

All of these liqueurs are made only by monks and are based on that ancient manuscript given in 1605.

所有酒款至今都在修道院中由道士所酿造，并完全基于那份古老的神秘配方。
