葡萄园：葡萄园坐落于北坎特伯雷怀帕拉谷（Waipara Valley），位于排水良好的朝北梯田。得益于地处蒂维奥特代尔山脉（Teviotdale Range）背风处，可最大程度抵御太平洋东风，形成独特微气候。葡萄藤树龄超 30 年，大部分为自根苗，扎根于 “格拉斯内文砾石”（Glasnevin Gravels）土壤 —— 数千年来由山脉冲刷而下的硬砂岩（greywacke）、淤泥与壤土在此沉积。贫瘠的土壤自然抑制藤势，造就低产却完美成熟的优质葡萄，充分诠释此独特风土的特质。园区昼夜温差显著（怀帕拉谷夜间最冷），延长葡萄成熟期的同时保留天然酸度。

品酒笔记：呈深红宝石色泽，香气浓郁交融：香料李子、红醋栗与黑樱桃的芬芳中，透出泥土、皮革、肉桂、蘑菇与碎百里香的咸鲜底蕴。细腻如粉的单宁与集中的成熟果味在口中绽放，带来奢华口感。平衡的酸度增添优雅质感，为悠长和谐的收尾奠定基础。这款酒兼具强劲张力与精准细腻，上市即可饮用，更可优雅陈年多年。Vintage: 2013/17/20

THE VINEYARD AND THE VINES： The vineyard is located within the Waipara Valley of North Canterbury, on free draining, north facing  terraces. It benefits from being in the lee of the Teviotdale Range, giving maximum protection from  the Pacific’s easterly breezes and thus creating a unique mesoclimate. The vines are over 30 years old,  with a large proportion planted on their own roots. They are located on the “Glasnevin Gravels” where  greywacke stones, silt and loam have been washed down from the mountains over the millennia. The  soil is of low fertility, resulting in naturally reduced vine vigour. This produces low yields of optimally  ripened, high quality, flavourful grapes, which fully express the qualities of this unique terroir. The  vineyard has warm days, but the nights are amongst the coolest in the Waipara Valley, drawing out the  ripening period of the grapes, while still retaining good natural acidity.

Characteristics：Upon release it has a deep ruby hue. The nose is a sultry amalgam  of spiced plum, red currant and dark cherry, leading to a savoury underlay of earth, leather,  cinnamon, mushroom and crushed thyme. Fine grained tannins and a concentrated core of ripe fruit thrill the palate, presenting  a luxurious mouthfeel. Well integrated acidity adds perfect balance and poise, setting the platform for a long and harmonious  close. This is a wine with real power and drive, yet delivered with precision and finesse. While ready to drink on release it can be  expected to cellar well and evolve gracefully for many years.
