Anne Frank's diary is one of the most recognised and widely read books of the Second World War. 安妮·弗兰克（Anne Frank，1929—1945），德国犹太少女，二战期间“犹太人”中引人注目的受害者之一。安妮青春洋溢，求知欲强，热爱写作。1942年为躲避纳粹迫害，不得不随家人藏匿于不见天日的密室中。此后的25个月，她用日记记录了令人窒息的密室生活和自己那颗被时代捆绑住的少女心。1944年8月因人告密而被抓捕关进集中营，在几个月后爆发的伤寒疫情中年轻的生命就此凋零。二战结束后，安妮的日记得以整理出版，控诉了战争阴云下犹太人艰辛而令人恐惧的生存状态。

Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt am Main on 12 June 1929 as Annelies Marie Frank, the daughter of Otto and Edith Frank and the younger sister of Margot. She was given a diary as a 13th birthday present and kept it from 12 June 1942 to 1 August 1944, during the period in which she and her family, together with others, hid from Nazi persecution in a small set of rooms above an Amsterdam warehouse. After Anne's arrest and deportation to Auschwitz and later to Bergen-Belsen in 1944, where she would eventually die in early 1945 from typhus, her diary was published by her father, Otto Frank, and became a worldwide bestseller.
