刘宇昆(Ken Liu，1976年—)，男，美籍华裔科幻作家，职业是程序设计员与律师，业余从事科幻小说与诗歌的写作。

2009年4月，刘宇昆在《科幻世界》杂志发表两篇小说《爱的算法》和《单比特错误》，此后，他的许多科幻小说在国内发表。2012年和2013年，刘宇昆的作品《手中纸，心中爱》和《物哀》接连获得“雨果奖”。

而在创作之外，刘宇昆也致力于中美文化交流，他翻译的陈楸帆、夏笳和马伯庸的作品已经在国外发表。2015年，刘宇昆翻译的科幻作家刘慈欣的小说《三体》，获得世界科幻协会2015年度雨果奖“*长篇小说”奖 。

2016年，刘宇昆翻译并推荐了科幻作家郝景芳的《北京折叠》，该作品获雨果奖！
