1350 年教皇迁居阿维尼翁（Avignon）后，教皇新堡（Châteauneuf-du-Pape）的古老葡萄园便闻名世界。后来在勒罗伊男爵（Baron Le Roy）的推动下，该产区于 1933 年成为法国首个法定产区葡萄酒（appellation d’origine contrôlée，简称 AOC）产区。
始建于 14 世纪的塞内绍酒庄（Domaine des Sénéchaux）坐落于这一著名产区的核心地带，是当地历史最悠久的酒庄之一。酒庄名称源自其核心地块之一，该地块位于 “塞内绍林区（Bois Sénéchaux）” 附近。

品酒笔记：
酒呈清澈明亮、浅金色并带有绿色调，散发出复杂而迷人的香气。 它的酒香以花香（马鞭草）和柑橘和成熟白色水果的香气开场。 口感上，酒体饱满，柑橘、异国水果和果香（桃子）的香气再一次呈现出美妙 的芳香复杂性，并带有微妙的木香。 陈酿结构优美，余味新鲜可口（甜香料）。

Characteristics:
Clear and brilliant, light yellow-colored with green tints, reveals  a nose that is both complex and charming. Its bouquet opens with floral notes  (verbena) and aromas of citrus and ripe white fruit. On the palate, the attack is full-bodied with, once again, a beautiful aromatic  complexity between notes of citrus, exotic fruits and withe fruits (peach) balanced  by a delicately woody touch. With a beautiful structure for aging, the finish is fresh and tasty (sweet spices).
