张勇于1986年出生于中国山东, 毕业于中央美术学院雕塑系，获得硕士学位，现居住于北京。作为典型的80后一代，张勇见证着中国改革开放浪潮给这片土地带来的巨变。也正因如此，他的作品总是紧扣时代主题，不仅能窥见这一代年轻人的品味潮流，亦能捕捉他们的所思所想，他们对社会的质疑，和自我抗争。

在近年最具代表的18K镀金为主要材质的作品中，泰迪小熊、小狗、海豚、小兔这些为人熟悉的小动物身上布满了看似明艳诱人的铆钉，你可以欣赏它、碰触它，但对于青年一代来说，这却是他们特有的武装，去努力适应物欲横流的社会氛围对他们的要求。

张勇的作品也不断在国际舞台上活跃，中华人民共和国驻哥斯达黎加大使馆、新加坡Bordier&Cie银行等永久收藏其作品，他亦受邀在海内外多个重要展览中展出作品，成熟的技法和艺术语言都颇受认可。

Zhang Yong was born in Shandong Province, China in 1986. He graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of fine arts with a master's degree. He now lives in Beijing. As a typical post-80s generation, Zhang Yong witnessed the great changes brought about by the wave of China's reform and opening up. Because of this, his works are always closely related to the theme of the times, which can not only glimpse the taste trend of this generation of young people, but also capture their thoughts and thoughts, their doubts about society and their self struggle.

In recent years, among the most representative works of 18K gold-plated materials, teddy bears, puppies, dolphins, rabbits, which are familiar to people, are full of attractive rivets. You can appreciate it and touch it. But for the young generation, it is their unique armed force to strive to adapt to the requirements of the materialistic social atmosphere.

Zhang Yong's works are constantly active on the international stage. The Embassy of the people's Republic of China in Costa Rica and the border & CIE Bank of Singapore have collected his works permanently. He has also been invited to exhibit his works in many important exhibitions at home and abroad. His mature techniques and artistic language are well recognized.
