The Disney Comics Group was an imprint of Disney Publishing Worldwide that published Disney-related comic books in the United States from 1990 to 1999. It was created after Disney regained the license to publish comics featuring its characters, which had been held by Western Publishing (Dell Comics and Gold Key Comics) until 1988. The Disney Comics Group published a variety of titles, including ongoing series featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, and other popular Disney characters, as well as adaptations of Disney films and television shows. The imprint was known for its high-quality artwork and storytelling, and it helped to revive interest in Disney comics in the United States. However, it ceased publication in 1999 due to declining sales.
