Content Introduction

Focusing on the City of London and the City of Westminster in London’s core, the author of this book has selected more than 200 exquisite black-and-white photographs with illustrative notes, vividly presenting the integration of urban architecture, space and people in London, and reflecting the historical continuity and spatial inclusiveness of the city in its development and architectural conservation. Graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University, the author S.H.Yan offers a dual perspective as both architect and developer to capture and reflect on London’s historic and modern architecture, as well as the relationships between its spaces and people.
