Domaine Calek 卡拉克酒堡

Domaine Calek has been located in the heart of Ardeche for now 10 years, the owner Andrea Calek is a pioneer and promoter of natural wine.

Andrea Calek arrived in France from Bohemia, Czech Republic, over 20 years ago, studied viticulture and enology in Beaune and Lyon, and then started working helping a number of Domaines convert to natural wines, accompanying them in the process as an advisor, including Domaine Hauvette. He also translated Nicolas Joly's book into Czech.

Throughout the journey of the vine to the grape and into the wine, Andrea Calek allows the wine to make itself, with only a minimalist amount of help to guide. In each of his wines, he preserves the freshness of the fruits with beautiful acidity, resulting in very easygoing characters. He vinifies without any sulfur and, as a natural winemaker, treats vines with high respect for terroir.
