Driven by his passion for winemaking, Adolfo de las Heras Marín acquired an estate in Valencia - "El Renegado" in 1985, which was already farmed sustainably. 80% of the vineyards grow the native Bobal grape and are more than 40 years old.

His son, Adolfo de las Heras Polo, revolutionized the winery at the end of the 90s when he took the reins. He began to import the other varieties the winery currently offers, such as Syrah, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, etc. From that time, Adolfo de las Heras meticulously and expertly shaped the estate and the winery to his vision: the use of modern methods & production of limited quantities of topquality wine. From that idea was born Bodegas Nodus, which began to commercialize its wines in 2005.
