内容简介

前言

教材是培根铸魂、启智增慧的重要载体,直接关系到人才培养的方向和质量,其内容和形式应该集中体现党和国家的意志。作为教育的根本问题,“培养什么人、怎样培养人、为谁培养人”事关中国特色社会主义事业兴旺发达、后继有人,事关国家与社会的长治久安,所谓“尺寸课本,国之大者”。进入新时代,中国对世界的全方位影响日益凸显,中国与世界的交流和互动日趋紧密,冲突与张力难以避免,世界需要了解真实、立体、全面的中国,中国也更需要有效的自我表达和自我构建。语言是人类理解、表达和构建意义的主要工具。外语,特别是英语,作为全球范围内最强大的符号资本,在跨文化、跨文明交流互动中占据举足轻重的地位,外语人才培养在国家发展战略、社会进步和经济文化交流中已经、正在并将继续发挥不可替代的作用。面对以中国式现代化全面推进中华民族伟大复兴的战略全局和世界百年未有之大变局,这种作用必将愈加凸显。如此,外语教材建设的战略属性、政治属性和民生属性也必将更加彰显。

在这一背景下,北京外国语大学中国外语教材研究中心(大中小学外语国家教材建设重点研究基地)策划编写“中国外语教材发展年度报告”系列丛书,旨在对我国外语教材建设与研究情况进行阶段性总结梳理,对外语教材建设与研究的趋势、问题与举措进行回顾与反思。由于我国外语教材种类繁多、内容丰富、形态创新,本报告将按年度对外语教材建设与研究的宏观形势、突出特点和主要成就进行整理分析,以及时探析经验与不足,启迪未来发展。

《2023 年中国外语教材发展报告》共七章。第一章概述外语教材发展的宏观形势、突出特点和主要成就,并展望未来发展方向。第二章到第六章分别阐述中小学、职业院校、高等学校英语教材、高等学校多语言教材及国际中文教材建设。每章主要内容包括相关政策、教材出版概况、教材使用案例和教师培训情况。第七章综述外语教材研究相关期刊发文、科研项目与学术会议情况,分析研究趋势和热点。全书编写框架体现教材编写、使用、研究一体化的教材建设理念,力求促进优质教材建设与应用,推动教材建设在理论与实践互动中创新发展。

在深入分析2023年中国外语教材建设与发展的基础上,我们认为,未来外语教材的发展将在以下五个方面持续发力和着力。第一,随着人工智能,特别是大语言模型的快速迭代与发展,未来的外语教材将更加注重与数字化、智能化的融合。利用大数据、人工智能等技术,实现个性化学习推荐、智能语音评估等功能,从而提升外语学习效率和学习体验。第二,为了培养有家国情怀、有全球视野、有专业本领的复合型人才,外语教材将更加注重文化文明多样性,通过增加跨文化交流、互鉴的内容,帮助学生更好地理解和尊重多元文化。第三,随着创新人才培养需求日益紧迫,外语教材将更多地与其他学科进行融合,如科学、艺术、历史等,通过跨学科融合与创新学习活动设计,培养学生的综合素养和创新能力。第四,随着环保意识的提升,未来的外语教材可能会采用更加环保的材质和印刷方式,同时,在内容

上也会融入可持续发展等全球议题,引导学生关注全球问题并培养其环保意识。第五,未来的外语教材将更加注重实用性和即时性,紧扣时代脉搏,及时反映全球热点和趋势,以便学生能够将所学知识与现实世界紧密相连。

“中国外语教材发展年度报告”系列丛书是北京外国语大学中国外语教材研究中心的重要研究成果,也是中心承担学术使命和社会责任,发挥引领、指导与服务功能的重要体现。我们期待能够通过报告强化坚持正确的教材建设方向、提高教材建设质量、加强教材建设研究,进而推动我国外语教育教学改革创新与发展。本系列丛书既可以为外语教材相关政策制定提供信息,为外语教材研究提供参考,也可以为外语教材的编写和出版提供借鉴。
