Characteristics:Displaying a brilliant straw and lime tinted hue the wine delivers a fragrant and complex medley of white nectarine and gun smoke complemented by underlying notes of flint, vanilla bean and toasty aromas. The palate displays restraint and is tightly woven with hints of French oak creating a wine with class and evolution with bottle age.

Picking commenced and was completed during the last two weeks of March and first week of April due to the good weather conditions. As with previous vintages we decided to make several picks across the estate within the clonal mix specified; firstly, a small portion of Mendoza to capture citrus varietal character and acidity, and the balance when the fruit was in the stone fruit and textured spectrum. All fruit was hand harvested into half ton bins picking in early morning to retain freshness and purity. Each individual pick was whole bunch pressed and kept separate to maintain individuality and selection opportunity at blending where the fruit was fermented in new and seasoned French oak barrels. The barrels undergo fermentation at warmer temperatures largely with indigenous yeast followed by spring secondary fermentation upon the warming temperatures. The untouched wines remain in oak for 11 months before being racked out and prepared for bottling.
