Vinification: The grapes were destemmed and gently crushed then fermented in temperature controlled concrete tanks with their native yeasts. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally.

Ageing: The wine remained in concrete tanks and large, untoasted oak casks for 12 months’ ageing.

Characteristics:
Lovely ruby red in colour.Vibrant cherry and red berry fruit perfumes with notes of raspberry and blueberry. Some tertiary characters emerge with a light spice of black pepper and cloves.Structured and dynamic, the wine is spicier on the palate than the nose, fresh and fruit driven, juicy and lively with great balance.

The vineyards of Terre del Buontalenti are located in Tuscany, a region renowned for its production of great wines. Limestone, schist, granite and sandstone are characteristic of this region’s mineral-rich soils. These precious nutrients are absorbed by the vines and their characteristics are clearly reflected in the personality of the wines, giving them juiciness, vivacity, vitality and great texture. Terre del Buontalenti is a project underpinned by the search for vines that are feeding off these nutrients and providing grapes with these unique components. The search for vines that thrive on these nutrients underpins the Terre del Buontalenti project.
