作者简介

张兰坡，祖籍湖南，1973年生于兰州，1996年本科毕业于广州美术学院，2005年研究生毕业于广州美术学院，硕士。

现任高校美术教师，工作生活于广东肇庆。

其作品通过持续逼近拍摄死亡，以达到重构生命图景的目的。在比‘生’更悠远辽阔的‘永生’世界里，从新探讨人性深处的两难之择——那是关于功与过、罪与罚、人性与神性，认知与判断、掩盖与昭彰的矛盾史。也正是这些矛盾吸引着他不断去展开思考与发现。 

Zhang Lanpo, originally from Hunan Province, was born in 1973 in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1996 and his master’s degree in 2005, both from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. 

He is currently a university art teacher, living and working in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province.

His photography continues focus on death, with a view toward reconstructing a view of life. In a world of eternal life that is far more distant and extensive than the world of life, he faces a difficult choice in re-exploring the depths of human nature; this is the contradictory history of functionality and excess, crime and punishment, humanity and divinity, thought and judgment, concealing and revealing. It is precisely this series of contradictions that draws him into the continued consideration and discovery of this subject.

在过去的三十多年时间里，开放的中国造就了前所未有的艺术发展环境。就摄影艺术而言，无论在摄影语言的探索和完善，还是摄影的社会功能、艺术表现及观念传达上，都有众多优秀的创作者涌现，他们与全球各地的摄影艺术家一起努力地探索和实践。可以说中国的摄影艺术家是世界摄影艺术史中不可缺少的组成部分。但是由于各种原因，中国摄影家的作品及其价值远远没能为全世界所认识和关注。中国当代摄影的学术体系和发展脉络也还未能得到系统的梳理，摄影者的创作也经常被各类观点模糊及混乱的奖项所影响。【中国当代摄影图录】意在呈现众多的个体摄影创作案例、描绘出一幅三十年中国当代摄影创作的全景画卷。这是一件必须去做的基础学术项目，也是一次充满挑战和未知的艰辛尝试。这个图录计划期望由众多对摄影艺术充满热情和责任的人共同付出才能完成。相信在不远的将来，这套图录的意义将逐步显现出来，而且必将对今后中国摄影的创作产生积极的影响。

About 【Chinese Contemporary Photography Catalogues】

Over the last thirty years, an open China has created an unprecedented environment for the development of art. Numerous great artists have emerged in the realm of art photography, in term of both the exploration and perfection of a photographic language and photography’s social function, artistic expressiveness, and communicative power. Chinese photographers have explored and developed the medium worked together with the world’s photographic artists, and it could be said that Chinese photographic artists are an indispensable part of world photography history. For various reasons, the work of Chinese photographers has not been valued and understood by the rest of the world. The academic system and developmental lineage of Chinese contemporary photography has not been systematically examined, and the work of photographers has frequently been influenced by awards with vague and inconsistent viewpoints.【Chinese Contemporary Photography Catalogues】 intends to present case studies of individual photographers in order to paint a panoramic picture of the last thirty years of Chinese contemporary photography. This is a foundational and necessary academic project, as well as a difficult experiment full of challenges and unknowns. This book project will be accomplished through the collective efforts of many people who are passionate about and feel a responsibility to the art of photography. We believe that the meaning of this set of books will gradually become clear in the near future and that this will positively influence future works of Chinese photography.
