This was a time of burning collective passions,
one that shaped the character of our grandparents and continues to influence us today.
When today’s artists are trying to crystallize their idealism, what they see is the iconic image of Standing on High.
This is a gift given to the present by the past, a gift we give back to our grandparents.
Perhaps every generation will stand on its own high ground and gaze off into the distance,
perhaps towards the past, perhaps towards the future, maybe even upon themselves.
Regardless, this is a gift that is full of warm, fabled imagery.
